on Apr 2nd, 2008George Gershwin: It Ain’t Necessarily So

Gershwin, along with Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and Richard Rodgers contributed more to popular song in the 20th century than any other composer. This song is from his folk musical masterpiece ‘Porgy And Bess’, and is here recorded by ‘Bronski Beat’ - a group usually know for their moody electronic-pop sound. However for this piece the trio has switched gears for a smoky version of Gershwin’s subversive, beguiling ‘It Ain’t Necessarily So’. Arranged here for Piano, Vocal and Guitar Chord accompaniment.
